About the journey
Experience the vibrant Navruz Festival on an extraordinary journey through Tajikistan. This tour blends cultural immersion with ancient traditions, allowing you to explore historical sites, breathtaking landscapes, and partake in festive celebrations. It should be noted that Navruz is celebrated in Tajikistan from March 21 to 24. During your time in Tajikistan, guests will participate in the festival while simultaneously visiting the following sites.

Arrival in Dushanbe: Meet your guide, transfer to the hotel, tour briefing, and welcome dinner with an introduction to Tajik culture and Navruz traditions.
Visit Hissor Fortress, a 3rd-century BC stronghold with impressive gates and walls. Explore the museum showcasing Tajik history. Return to Dushanbe to see Somoni sqauare and Abu Abdullah Rudaki Park, dedicated to the famous Persian poet, the National Museum, which houses ancient artifacts, and the Navruz Palace, an epitome of Tajik architecture.
The trip from Dushanbe to Norak begins with a morning departure, with stops for rest and photos to enjoy the scenic views. Upon arrival in Norak, visitors can familiarize themselves with the Norak hydropower plant, one of the highest in the world, and admire the reservoir and the nature around it.
After returning back to Dushanbe, visit the Botanical garden and the Independence square.

In the morning travel to Khujand, on the road visit Istaravshan’s sites, an ancient Silk Road city known for its rich craftsmanship. Visit Mug Teppe, the remains of a Sogdian fortress, and Kok-gunbaz a 14th century Madrassa. Continue your journey to Khujand, one of the oldest cities in Central Asia.
Explore Panjshanbe Bazaar, a vibrant marketplace offering local delicacies and crafts. Visit the Sheikh Muslihiddin Mausoleum, dedicated to a revered 12th-century poet and religious leader. Discover Khujand Fortress, a key site of resistance against Chingiz-khan. Visit Arbob Palace a prominent historical landmark and a symbol of the city’s cultural heritage. The palace, originally built in the 1950s, was designed in a traditional Tajik architectural style with elements of Soviet influence.
Travel to Penjikent, once a flourishing Sogdian city on the Silk Road. Visit the Ancient Penjikent Ruins, featuring well-preserved frescoes, Zoroastrian temples, and residential quarters. Explore the Rudaki Museum, dedicated to the father of Persian poetry.
Visit Sarazm, a UNESCO-listed proto-urban settlement dating back over 5,500 years. Explore the remains of ancient structures and artifacts that highlight early civilization in Central Asia. Drive to Panjrud, the hometown of Abu Abdullah Rudaki, the founder of Tajik-Persian literature. Learn about his life and legacy while visiting his mausoleum. Travel back to Dushanbe through picturesque mountain landscapes. Free activity in the capital and farewell dinner.
